It similar to the foundation of buildings and tall iconic structures ... People struggle once they reach senior leadership positions. I feel that one of the key challenges for leaders is to have the ability to inspire, lead by example, depth of relationship with colleagues, amongst many other skills. However, knowing oneself deeply (aka deep within oneself) is the foundation to many leadership skills.

This message was inspired (but never shared, untill now) by the obsessive opinions/ judgements being passed by the media and everyone on social media/ whatapp, etc to Aamir Khans comments on the society becoming intolerant.

Normally I avoid responding to any kind of negative msgs/ sharing post/ etc but I thought I could share this perspective with a Learned WhatsApp Group.

What is happening in our society at large is similar to what the British did to rule the World .... simple Divide & Rule.

Political astuteness dictates that one should attack at the weakest & easiest pain point. Religion is today convenient target to divide people and instill FEAR in the 'public' at large. This allows the powerful 'FEW' to essentially get the public to surrender their freedom for security. 

This happens since, public funds are used to increase security and surveillance  systems, regulations are 'easily' passed which inturns enables the government (read Rulers) to monitor not only the 'terrorist' but also the 'public'.

Communities will support the 'LEADER' who promises safety and growth of the particular ethnic or cultural community or geographic region or any group conveniently created by "dividing" the masses. Eg Citizens vs Immigrants, Management vs Workers, etc - the list is endless.

If you remove religion in the equation, people are instigated to form groups around trade, sports club, occupation, certification, etc etc and they compete and fight with each other.

There are umpteen such examples. If you read between the lines you will realise they want to control our lives. It benefits a select few parties/ entities/ countries. Interestingly, I saw the latest bond movie "Spectre". The underlying plot of the movie is very similar - a closed group trying to install an advanced surveillance and monitoring system under the garb of providing better security to the world.

Before getting carried away by comments and opinions of the media and your friends, please step back and think - make your own judgement.

Now I would leave it to your wisdom to think and identify who these interested parties/ entities/ countries could be - who will finally benefit from our fears, intolerances and animosity between ethnic, cultural or religious groups.
